Changing Room and Pool Plant Upgrade
We are pleased to advise that St Francis Pool will be receiving an upgrade to our changing facilities and upgraded equipment in our plant room including UV pool sanitiser to improve water quality.
Plans for an extension to the pool building and upgrade to our changing facilities have been ongoing for a number of years however with thanks to a small team at St Francis Social Club this will now be going ahead with a start date planned for 18th September 2023.
We have attached details of the plans which include an extension out onto the tennis courts to accommodate a reception and spectating area, office, disabled toilet / changing and larger male, and female changing.
The team are extremely excited about the upgrade to the pool, and we will be in regular contact with site managers and health and safety teams to try to ensure disruption is minimised as much as possible during the build whilst the pool is open.
The downside to the build, is that the pool will need to close so the builders can knock through and finish the upgrade. This will take place from 18th December to 4th of March – however this is dependent on a number of factors including how kind the British weather is and any unexpected hurdles we may come across.
We have been notified that the building works will take place from approx. 08:00-16:00 Monday-Friday so this shouldn’t have much impact on those attending afterschool, evening and weekend sessions.
The windows at the shallow end will be boarded up to protect the glass during the build and offer some privacy along with our already tinted windows and patio doors.
We will update with any additional information when receive
